GUI Hide instead of Close

Sticky,

You need to tell Autoit that you want the "$GUI_EVENT_CLOSE" event to hide, rather than close, the GUI.

How you do this depends on which GUI mode you use in your script (if you are unsure about the difference between the modes read the Help file under "GUI Reference"):

OnEvent Mode: GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, "CLOSEClicked")

MessageLoop Mode: If GUIGetMsg() = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Then CLOSEClicked()

You then need a function CLOSEClicked() which tells your GUI to hide (details in the Help file under "GUISetState" as you would expect!):

Func CLOSEClicked()

GUISetState(@SW_HIDE, $hMy_Gui)

EndFunc

I hope that helps.

Thank you! I looked into that and noticed why my program was still closing, the loop that polled the GUI state started with:

While $msg <> GUI_EVENT_CLOSE

....stupid me, lol

So I just changed it to
