Licence AutoIt EULA ?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

i love AutoIt and now i finished my first small Programm that uses the AutoIt DLL-File.

I wont to upload my Programm to Download-Portals and my Homepage.

What have i to do? I insert a file called "AutoIt EULA.txt" and put the original Eula-Text from this Website. Is this all and is this correct?

Thank you!

You do not have to include anything just to distribute a compiled script .exe file.

Shit, the license is still fucked up. While PsaltyDS is right about our intent, that is certainly not what our license says. In fact the license can be interpreted to read that anything you create with AutoIt we own which is absolutely wrong.

Do Nothing.

No one from Autoit is going to try to come after you.

Helpful tips:If you want better answers to your questions, take the time to reproduce your issue in a small "stand alone" example script whenever possible. Also, make sure you tell us 1) what you tried, 2) what you expected to happen, and 3) what happened instead.Useful links:BrettF's update to LxP's "How to AutoIt" pdfValuater's Autoit 1-2-3 Download page for the latest versions of Autoit and SciTE
<glyph> For example - if you came in here asking "how do I use a jackhammer" we might ask "why do you need to use a jackhammer"<glyph> If the answer to the latter question is "to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer", then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers
Hmmmmm. I thought we got past all that a few months ago in a similar thread.

Edit: maybe get past that with something along this line added to the "Grant of License" section?

All title and copyrights in and to any software created using this SOFTWARE PRODUCT rest with the author of that software.
