i have computerName log files, but they are from 2008 so this script only deletes from the current year.

is there an easy way to change the from the current year to 2008?

any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

$root= "\\server\folder1\folder2\folder3\Logs\"

;~---------   if log exists the sends to recycle
If FileExists( $root & @ComputerName & "-" & @YEAR  & "-" & @MON &"-" & @MDAY & ".log") Then
FileRecycle($root & @ComputerName & "-" & @YEAR & "-" & @MON &"-" & @MDAY & ".log")
SplashTextOn('Sage 7.05 Log File','Users Sage 7.05 log file deleted!',400,100,150,150,0,'',22,200)
Sleep(1000)
Else
;----------   if file not found, then splash of users log file not found
    SplashTextOn('Sage 7.05 Log File','Users Sage 7.05 log file not found!',400,100,150,150,0,'',22,200)

If FileExists( $root & @ComputerName & "-" & @YEAR-1 & "-" & @MON &"-" & @MDAY & ".log") Then

FileRecycle($root & @ComputerName & "-" & @YEAR-1 & "-" & @MON &"-" & @MDAY & ".log")

....

or you can

$myyear="2008"

If FileExists( $root & @ComputerName & "-" & $myyear & "-" & @MON &"-" & @MDAY & ".log") Then

FileRecycle($root & @ComputerName & "-" & $myyear & "-" & @MON &"-" & @MDAY & ".log")

....

no need to be sorry. it's me who should be sorry for such a trivial question.

i always start w/the help file, and search the forum before i post, but this time

i was in a bit of a rush and thought i was very nice when asking for any assistance.
