ShadowOps
Is it possible to play a .wav file when you click on a tab? I have tried the below code, only to find 4 sounds playing at the beginning of my script! GuiCtrlCreateTabItem("Tab1") SoundPlay (@TempDir & '\sound.wav', 1) GuiCtrlCreateTabItem("Tab2") SoundPlay (@TempDir & '\sound.wav', 1) GuiCtrlCreateTabItem("Tab3") SoundPlay (@TempDir & '\sound.wav', 1) GuiCtrlCreateTabItem("Tab4") SoundPlay (@TempDir & '\sound.wav', 1) Now obviously I left out half of the script, so please don't give me crap! All help is appreciated. Thanks!

In other words, there is only one sound that plays for every tab. Thanks, I'm just a beginner!
Moderators Melba23 Posted April 13, 2009 Moderators Share Posted April 13, 2009 ShadowOps, code so that "sound.wav" is the sound that plays if you click on any tabAs I said before:if you want the same sound regardless of the tab selected, you can replace the Case $tab section#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> GUICreate("Test", 500, 500) $tab = GUICtrlCreateTab(10, 10, 200, 100) $tab0 = GUICtrlCreateTabItem("tab0") $tab1 = GUICtrlCreateTabItem("tab1") $tab2 = GUICtrlCreateTabItem("tab2") GUICtrlCreateTabItem("") ; end tabitem definition GUISetState() While 1 Switch GUIGetMsg() Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit Case $tab SoundPlay (@TempDir & '\sound.wav', 1) EndSwitch WEnd Do not take it too seriously - we were all beginners once! :-) M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area
