avery
http://www.fileinfo.com/help/windows-change-program.html This line I found in the registry from au3 but I did find all the others, I just had this in my clipboard as an example. Does anyone know if I can change these reg keys and accomplish the same thing as the link you posted? I don't want to break anything -- except for what I want to remap from my original post. Please and thanks. -avery [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.au3\OpenWithProgids] "AutoIt3Script"=hex(0): www.abox.orgAvery HowellVisit My AutoIt Websitehttp://www.abox.org
Jonah
You should be able to change the registry keys and have that work, but check and make sure that no reboot is needed - although I seriously doubt that it will. As always, though, make sure you back up your registry before testing (or even better, perform the testing on a VM). \jonah www.jonahgregory.com

Thanks for the great advice. www.abox.orgAvery HowellVisit My AutoIt Websitehttp://www.abox.org
