MilesAhead Posted April 29, 2009 Share Posted April 29, 2009 One of the coolest shell interfaces is having your program's command in the context menu of the drop folder. Meaning you select files or whatever, drag them with the right mouse button, and drop them on an open folder. A menu pops up and your program's commands are among the selections. The only way I've been able to do it is with VC++ 6 shell extension dlls. But it seems like there should be a way to do it for non COM apps via the registry. Just wondering if anyone has experience doing it in AutoIt or if there's an example .reg file to add your app etc.. My Freeware Page Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There is project (Fast Explorer Context Menu Extension DLL) that allows to external softwares use this context menu, look how i did it in «Toggle Hidden Files & Files Extension» tool.
