happy2help
Hi All I have searched the forum and found loads of ways of controlling VNC. I don't want to do that. I want to do the opposite. let me explain. I have RealVNC server running on my machines at home and want to log into them from work. My home machines are working the internet connection hard all the time, so i want autoit to notice that i have connected to VNC and then run several commands that pauses my programs running on that machine. I can do the "run several commands...." bit, i just don't know how to monitor the VNC. It runs in the system tray and changes colour when someone is connected. So i could use PixelSearch or PixelGetColor function if i knew how to get the position of VNC on the systray ( it moves all the time). Any help or forum links would be really helpfull

Bert
Use the DOS command Netstat to get the traffic.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netstathave it either dump its output with a overwrite to a text file every few seconds or read its output directly. Read the results and see if VNC is causing traffic The Vollatran project My blog: http://www.vollysinterestingshit.com/
