gte
What is the *best* way to have an exe copy a file to a network machine (through a gui) to have a scheduled task call it later (I've got the task part done already)? Also, what's the best type of file to have the exe create? I don't believe an exe can create another exe, so is a .cmd file my next best choice? The files capabilities need to be that it needs to update some registry keys and then restart a service. Thanks! Khab
I'd approach it by using filewrite to create the required .reg and .bat files in the required location.
Hawkwing
You could probably use FileInstall to install an exe. The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.
