Auto(IT)mator - a framework for working geeks

Recommended Posts

I just published the code and the 15 page long documentation for this automation framework.

http://www.shrum.net/code/auto(IT)mator

I used to call it generic_installer but had to rename it as it also now handles uninstalls and can actually be modified to do simple tasks like adding/shortcuts to doing complex installs with post install configurations and so on.

I'm looking for input for the autoit community. I use this framework everyday in my line of work (Desktop Support) because we have a tech staff of about 10 people so having to teach everyone how to install stuff becomes tedious (especially when it comes down to rights and stuff).

Let me know what you think. Any suggestions can be posted here and I will review them

TIA
