PcExpert
I'm using some _IE functions to be able to login to a online Textbased RPG. Once I'm logged in to the site, I use _IEBodyReadText() to read the text on the webpage and then write the text to a text file for further use. The problem is, that it sometimes writes '0' to the file. When I visit the page manually everything is there, even restarting the script doesnt work, then it still does the same, so sometimes it works, (Because it does work) and sometimes not. Before the body text is written to the text file, the file is being deleted. Does someone have any idea why it sometimes works and sometimes not? DaleHohm
Hard to know without any code or a reproducer, however, I'd suspect you are being fooled by Frames. Please try outputting _IEDocReadHTML instead or in addition to _IEBodyReadText to verify. PcExpert
Thanks Dale, I now changed my code to use an embedded IE Object, which works fine. I have not had any problems so far.
