Recommended Posts

I wanna autohide scrollbars if there is no need for scrollbars, and if there is need for scrollbars then unhide scrollbars?

#include <EditConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

#Region ### START Koda GUI section ### Form=
$Form1 = GUICreate("Form1", 189, 95, 193, 125)
$Edit1 = GUICtrlCreateEdit("", 0, 0, 185, 89)
GUICtrlSetData(-1, "Edit1")
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
#EndRegion ### END Koda GUI section ###

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit

    EndSwitch

for removing scrollbard change

$Edit1 = GUICtrlCreateEdit("", 0, 0, 185, 89)

to

$Edit1 = GUICtrlCreateEdit("", 0, 0, 185, 89, 0)

for restore scrollbars use this:

GUICtrlSetStyle($Edit1, $GUI_SS_DEFAULT_EDIT)

E1M1,

Vertical: Count how many lines you have to display, multiply by the pixels taken by a single line, and if the result is bigger than the height of your Edit - show the vertical Scroll bar.

Horizontal: Measure the length of each line with _WinAPI_GetTextExtentPoint32 and if it extends past the width of your Edit - show the horizontal Scroll bar.

But do not forget to allow for the possibility that the height/width of your Edit has been reduced by the appearance of the other Scroll bar.

Have fun. :-)
