oMBRa
create a txt file called ''example123.txt'' on your desktop, then run this code: #Include <GuiListView.au3> $hDesktopHwnd = ControlGetHandle('[Class:Progman]', '', '[Class:SysListView32]') $iItem = _GUICtrlListView_FindText($hDesktopHwnd, 'example123.txt') $bDelete = _GUICtrlListView_DeleteItem($hDesktopHwnd, $iItem) this will deletes the file from the listview, ok now comment out ALL lines and run the code again, the file will re-appear, why? Moderators Melba23 Posted June 18, 2009 Moderators Share Posted June 18, 2009 oMBRa, I would say it is a question of the DeskTop refreshing itself. By running the code, you only remove the listview element from the DeskTop display, not the file itself. When the DeskTop refreshes, it rereads the required elements from disk (or registry?) and places them in a new version of the listview and so redisplays the file.
