u could use the netsh (windows xp) command to configure your adapter.

What about Windows without using AutoIt ?It would be the same as driving a car without an steering Wheel!

I think that might eventually get me where I want to be. netsh doesn't return the adapter description like vbs's "objnetadapter.Description", which I have dumped into an ini file to be read as a variable.

I think I can get around that though with some case statements.
