How To Create Directories Using A Variable ?

I'm trying to create directories using a variable that I get using the inputbox ..

Here's the script :

$pcname = InputBox("Create computer template ...", "Pcname ? ...", "", "", 300, 150, -1, -1)

DirCreate("e:\computer templates\$pcname")

The result I get is a directory called : e:\computer templates\$pcname instead of a directory with the computer's name.

Any bright minds who can help me with this .. ?

Thanks a lot !

You may be doing it all the hard way. If you want the folder to use the computers network name then just use

DirCreate ("e:\computer templates\"&@ComputerName)

If you want to give them the opportunity to use the computer name or change it to something else then use

$pcname = InputBox ('Create computer template.... ','Pcname ?...',@ComputerName,'',300,150,-1,-1)

DirCreate("e:\computer templates\"&$pcname)
