ankitstr
Hi all, I am working on a 2D graphical simulation program where there is like a compass pointer represented by a line drawn using guictrlcreategraphic() function, but if i try to draw a line again on the same graphic, it draws another line without removing the previous one. I don't want to delete the graphic as it causes the whole GUI form to refresh and since i am updating the pointer several times per second it is not acceptable. I need this working for my final year project at University. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance, Ankit [topic="80940"] AutoScript Creator, Script to automate anything![/topic]
picea892
HiCheck out the analog clock examples in the examples forum. I think they solve this problem by not deleting the line....just covering it up. If you remove the backgrounds on this clock you will see the innerworkings.http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...12&hl=clock
ankitstr
thanks for the reply. But I have tried covering it up, its just that I have a graphic below it with dynamic background, so I actually needed to somehow make the previous line invisible if possible. I'll still try doing it again, maybe if I somehow match the background with the underlying graphic, it might work. They give a really excellent example of what I think you want. Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script.
