Ryan
Is it possible to read variables from other programs? For example: I have 7 programs running 24/7 and instead of maximizing the windows to look at certain variables. I want to create 1 screen that would have all the variables i need from the other programs. Is this possible? or do i need to look into something more technical? Thanks

ThanksVery possible, but you will have to learn some about memory.Take a look at the memory link in my sig. It shows how to get and track a value from memory. You will be doing the SAME thing, just with a different pointer=)Edit: Or just use ControlGetText if that would work on those screens as well. May be easier=) Edited July 3, 2009 by Szhlopp RegEx/RegExRep Tester!Nerd Olympics - Community App!Login UDFMemory UDF - "Game.exe+753EC" - CE pointer to AU3Password Manager W/ SourceDataFiler - Include files in your au3!--- Was I helpful? Moderators Melba23 Posted July 3, 2009 Moderators Share Posted July 3, 2009 Ryan, If the variables are displayed on the application GUIs, then you can use something like this - open NotePad and type in something and then run this script:#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #Include <GuiEdit.au3> $hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500) $hLabel = GUICtrlCreateLabel("", 10, 10, 480, 480) GUISetState() $hWnd = ControlGetHandle("[CLASS:Notepad]", "", "Edit1") GUICtrlSetData($hLabel, _GUICtrlEdit_GetText($hWnd)) While 1 Switch GUIGetMsg() Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSwitch WEnd It also works if the GUI is minimised. Use the Au3Info tool to get the control ID parameters.
