incorporate autoit and vbs?

Recommended Posts

I have this vbs script that requires editing to insert a username and password and also domain and project. Then I want to use a checkbox to choose the type of report it generates. I want to get this info using Autoit and then run the vbs functions that generate the report (lots of specific code - not worth it to convert to autoit) Can this be done? I know how to get the gui bit I think but how to run the vbs?

There is a COM ScriptControl object that I believe will do what you want (allows you to run VBS, JScript, Perl and a few others from inside AutoIt).

Search the forum for ScriptControl for a few tips on getting started.

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble
