_GuiCtrlMenu Refreshing Problem

If the GuiCtrlmenu_GetItemSubMenu is called in a loop, would it update the currently selected submenu??

So say if I ran a loop to browse through File Menu, when it hits "Recently Viewed Documents" I want it to go inside that submenu and browse through each File.

However, when i use autoit to browse through File, Edit, Save, then Recently View Documents, it doesnt detect "Recently Viewed Documents" as a submenu. But when i use _GuiCtrlmenu_GetItemSubMenu w/o browsing through File/Edit/Save it will detect it as a submenu.

Is there a refresh or update command i need to use?
