#1629 closed Feature Request (Works For Me)

Ability to destroy embedded IE objects to rehash browser settings

Reported by: cheshiresoft Owned by: Jon
Milestone: Component: AutoIt
Version: Severity: None
Keywords: destroy embedded IE object Cc:

Please add a feature so that we can kill and recreate embedded IE objects. I am having a huge problem right now because I need to be able to set proxies during application run without having to restart the program. I can set the proxy in the registry but it does not apply to any browsers that are running while the setting was being applied and there is no way in autoit to restart an embedded object without restarting the whole program. please reference this post:

You not knowing how to do it doesn't mean it can't be done.
