I see from this thread:
http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/45472-saving-a-pdf-from-a-web-site/
That if IE has a PDF open using the Adobe Reader that the DOM model is not available..
Is there any update on this? I need to maintain a single instance of IE and have it navigate to a link.. sometimes the user will navigate to a PDF document though.. and thats when things break.. _IENavigate won't function whilst a PDF is open in the instance of IE..
If nothing else would there be some way of determining from an instance of IE if it has the Adobe Plugin active and killing it? _IEQuit wont work whilst a PDF is open..
I'm probably going to look for a windows with ".PDF" in and kill it.. if there's no more elegant solution?
With thanks,
Automating IE whilst a PDF document is open..
