Enable/disable the Webcam's LED with Autoit ?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Here is my problem : I use the Webcam Logitech C270 and I look for a script to enable/disable the Webcam's LED.

By a "classic" way there is 2 methods :

-  Open Logitech Software and enable/disable the Webcam's LED (don't need a reboot of the PC).

- Change the registry to say if the LED must be enable/disable (need a reboot of the PC).

Do you know a solution to do that with Autoit ? A script to enable (and another script to disable) (without opening the Logitech Software (maybe we can hide it ?) and without rebooting the PC).

Here is what I tried, but it's not a success sadly.

So, I don't know if it's allow on the forum but I can give something (money) to help me fixing my problem. I'm not a coder. But I have money.

Have a good day.

Lilinote,

Welcome to the AutoIt forums. :)

Unfortunately remotely controlling a WebCam LCD is not something we are prepared to support - even though you might not have malicious intent others most certainly have. Thread locked. :naughty:

And before you argue that the WebCam software allows this - that is under user control, it is the scripting of this behaviour that is not permitted. ;)
