  3. @amosrinat, as what Melba said, you can decide which is which. You can disable the OnEvent mode on [param] 0 "AutoItSetOption('GUIOnEventMode', 0)" or you may do a Func () code same as below to make you script working. Func Button1() $csv=FileOpenDialog("Open", "C:\" ,"csv files (*.csv)") GUICtrlSetData($Input1,$csv) EndFunc KS15
  4. Every function should return either a valid return or sets the @error.
  5. @BrewManNH, Thank you sir. I am obvisly super new to this. Can you give me any tips on adding in error checking? I am looking at the documentation now. Again, thank you.
  6. In this example:- The function IsArray1SomeInArray2() answers your first question of post #1. The function IsArray1InArray2() answers your second question of post #1. An optional case sensitivity parameter is added to answer one of my questions. #include <Array.au3> Local $sAlphabet = "ABCDEFGHIJKLMOPQRSTUVWXYZ" $aAlphabet = StringSplit($sAlphabet, "", 2) Local $sWord = "hello" ; "HELLO" ; "Hello" ; $aWord = StringSplit($sWord, "", 2) MsgBox(0, "IsArray1SomeInArray2()", "One or more of the elements of Array1" & (IsArray1SomeInArray2($aWord, $aAlphabet, 0) ? " are in " : " are NOT in ") & "Array2") MsgBox(0, "IsArray1InArray2()", "All the elements of Array1" & (IsArray1InArray2($aWord, $aAlphabet, 0) ? "" : "(?i)") & _ArrayToString($Array1), 3) Return UBound($Array1) = UBound($a) EndFunc ;==>IsArray1InArray2 If you do not understand something in either function, I suggest you use as many ConsoleWrite( [Insert variable here] & @CRLF)'s as needed, together with AutoIt's help file. Just as I have done, do, and will do. In SciTE, I use "cw ", that is, "cw" followed by a space - a shortcut.
  7. Do some error checking. Check to see if there's an error returned from WinGetClientSize before trying to return the array that isn't there. You should do some error checking in MsClick as well in case the UIRatio function fails to find the window as well.
  8. You sir are correct on that. I tested out the code using notepad instead and it worked. I then switched back over to Chrome and now it clicks the button fine but it does not once I resize the window. Thoughts? 9. It seems like WinGetClientSize can't find the window, probably because you're trying to look for the class of the window and its title at the same time. Pick one.

  11. Hello, I am looking for a small bit of help. I'm trying to get my script working in a Chrome window. If I remove the resize code, my script will work fine and click the button that I want it to. What I am trying to do is get it work if the window changes sizes or if the computer has a different resolution then what I created this on. There probably is an easier way to do this but this is what I found by searching through the forums. When I run the code below and use my hotkey, I get this error. Thanks in advance!!!! 12. how did you solved it? you used mikell's post or in some other way?
  13. yep, but you can do this: _ArrayToString(_StringBetween("Text", "Left", "Right"))

  16. I was using paint as an easy way to test it that was easily accessible, I'm trying to automate testing of a mobile app which I'm runnning in an emulator (nox). I set it to show "touches" I can see two separate touches for the mousedown and up but not a drag connecting them
  17. Hi I have a wonderful idea of a cool program, so I would like one of you to write it for me, and when you have done so. Then please create a webpage from where it can be sold, and just put all the many money at my bank account 👍 What Nobody?? Anybody?? please I'm all new to Autoit, just started yesterday... or some thing like that 🤔 Hmm well then, seems that I need to do some coding myself I wrote a small count down program some time ago Count Down Days, and shortly after I started using it I found out the I wanted more that one instance of it. So I did some brute force copy ini files, that allowed me to start the program with cmdline - it works and I can have x copy's running, but I would like to just run the program once, and then create multiply countdown GUI's, but the my brain just stopped working, and even I did try to bang my head into the wall, and onto the table it still just would start working again. And now I just have a damn headache 😖 I have rewritten the CDD to use SQLite, and that works swell - it's only that darn multi instance I can't get my brain to figure out a way to do, for me one usage it's not a problem, I can just add to the database, and run CDD with cmd 1. But I would like the program to be user friendly, so the user can add another instance in the settings, and or start a new instance from the menu. My idea was some thing like starting the main GUI in a for to loop, but I couldn't figure out how to handle the countdown and extra instances part. And that is where I hope that some one could point kick me in the right direction, I have spend the last 3 days looking at the monitor and got nowhere, I know the solution is right there with in my reach, my arms is just to short My code so far: (uses cmdline to handle multiply instances), and multiply language is still not implemented. #NoTrayIcon #Region ;**** Directives created by AutoIt3Wrapper_GUI **** #AutoIt3Wrapper_Icon=CDD.ico #AutoIt3Wrapper_Outfile=CDD.exe #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Fileversion=0.0.0.0 #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_HiDpi=Y #AutoIt3Wrapper_Run_After=""d:\Profil\Rex\ISN AutoIt Studio\Projects\Versions Controler\Versions_Controle.exe" "%in%" "%scriptdir%" "%scriptfile%" "%fileversion%"" #AutoIt3Wrapper_Run_After=""d:\Profil\Rex\ISN AutoIt Studio\Projects\Versions Controler\Versions_Controle.exe" "%out%" "%scriptdir%" "%scriptfile%" "%fileversion%"" #AutoIt3Wrapper_Tidy_Stop_OnError=n #AutoIt3Wrapper_Run_Au3Stripper=y #Au3Stripper_Parameters=/tl /sf /sv /rsln /rm #EndRegion ;**** Directives created by AutoIt3Wrapper_GUI **** ; #INDEX# ======================================================================================================================= ; Title .........: Countdown_Days.au3 ; Script Version : 1.0.0 ; AutoIt Version : 3.3.15.1 - Created with ISN AutoIt Studio v. 1.08 and 1.09 Dev ; Description ...: Countdown a specfic number of days ; Author(s) .....: Rex ; Creation date..: 2019/02/03 ; =============================================================================================================================== ; #CHANGE LOG# ================================================================================================================== ; Changes .......: See project log ; Date ..........: ; =============================================================================================================================== #cs Lang msg handling ; Get the string to handle (All stings should be read into arrays) Local $sString = IniRead('English.lng', 'Settings', 'Msg_DelDef', '') ; Then we split the Title and msg into seperat arrays Local $aMsg = StringRegExp($sString, '{Title}(.*){Msg}(.*)', 1) ; Title would be 0 and msg 1, we also do a Stringformat to handle \r\n (@CRLF) and last we do a stringreplace to replace the {VAR} ; with the war we want it to be replaced with - the stringreplace is only nessary when we habe some var that should be placed inside the ; msgbox, else we dont need it. 21. amosrinat, Welcome to the AutoIt forums. You cannot mix OnEvent and MessageLoop in the same script. So you need to decide which you want to use as if you use OnEvent mode, GUIGetMsg will never return any events - once you disable OnEvent mode it starts working correctly, as you have discovered. M23

Please help. #include <GUIConstants.au3> #include <File.au3> #include <Array.au3> #include <MsgBoxConstants.au3> AutoItSetOption('GUIOnEventMode', 1) $_1 = GUICreate("LanSweeper Update tool", 537, 356, 248, 137) $Button2 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Exit", 390, 236, 75, 25, 0) $CsvInput1 = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 145, 19, 225, 21) $Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("Browse...", 390, 16, 75, 25, 0) GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, 'quit') $combo1 = GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 42, 146, 120, 25) GUICtrlSetData(-1, 'Computer_Name|Business_Owner|Group') GUICtrlSetOnEvent($combo1, 'setgrp') $combo2 = GUICtrlCreateCombo('', 42, 186, 120, 25) GUICtrlSetOnEvent($combo2, 'fSetgrp2') $combo3 = GUICtrlCreateCombo('', 42, 226, 120, 25) $Checkbox1 = GUICtrlCreateCheckbox("Check to enable specific selection in LanSweeper", 40, 72, 273, 17) $Label1 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("Select to match SQL (combo) with input csv", 40, 118, 211, 17) $Input1 = GUICtrlCreateInput("", 145, 19, 225, 21) $Label2 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("sdf", 180, 150, 108, 25) $Label3 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("sdfg", 180, 190, 108, 25) $Label4 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("sdf", 180, 230, 108, 25) GUISetState() ;~ While 1 ;~ Sleep(50) ;~ WEnd while 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Local $line,$List,$col,$arrCsv,$sHdr1 Select Case $nMsg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Or $nMsg = $Button2 Exit Case $nMsg = $Button1 $csv=FileOpenDialog("Open", "C:\" ,"csv files (*.csv)") GUICtrlSetData($Input1,$csv) ;~ _FileReadToArray($csv,$arrCsv,Default,",");[R][C] ;~ _ArrayDisplay($arrCsv) ;~ $sHdr1 = $arrCsv[1][0] ;~ $sHdr2 = $arrCsv[1][1] ;~ $sHdr3 = $arrCsv[1][2] ;~ GUICtrlSetData($Label2,$sHdr1) ;~ GUICtrlSetData($Label3,$sHdr2) ;~ GUICtrlSetData($Label4,$sHdr3) ;;; Computer, B.Owner, Group ;~ MsgBox(0,"",$sHdr1 & " " & $sHdr2 &" " & $sHdr3) EndSelect WEnd Func setgrp() Global $c_msg = GUICtrlRead($combo1) Switch $c_msg Case 'Computer_Name' GUICtrlSetData($combo2, '') GUICtrlSetData($combo2, 'Business_Owner|Group') Case 'Business_Owner' GUICtrlSetData($combo2, '') GUICtrlSetData($combo2, 'Computer_Name|Group') Case 'Group' GUICtrlSetData($combo2, '') GUICtrlSetData($combo2, 'Computer_Name|Business_Owner') EndSwitch EndFunc Func fSetgrp2() $c_msg2 = GuictrlRead($combo2) Switch $c_msg2 Case 'Computer_Name' GUICtrlSetData($combo3, '') $sMsg = StringReplace('Business_Owner|Group',$c_msg,"") GUICtrlSetData($combo3,$sMsg) Case 'Business_Owner' GUICtrlSetData($combo3, '') $sMsg = StringReplace('Computer_Name|Group',$c_msg,"") GUICtrlSetData($combo3,$sMsg) Case 'Group' GUICtrlSetData($combo3, '') $sMsg = StringReplace('Computer_Name|Business_Owner',$c_msg,"") GUICtrlSetData($combo3,$sMsg) EndSwitch EndFunc Func quit() Exit EndFunc
  24. Why doesn't my script toggle my CAPSLOCK? On / off works fine, but toggle does nothing... Opt("SendCapslockMode", 0) Opt("SendAttachMode", 1) Sleep(500) Send("{CAPSLOCK toggle}")
  25. There is multiple internet sites that will give the right time (for example : http://worldtimeapi.org).
  26. Paint is not picking anything (win 7). I tested it with fill. It would clearly splash black all over the screen if it was capturing any mouse down. Yes it means it is not possible to send those messages to Paint. But why would you want to send background messages to Paint ? I am curious to understand the purpose of this.
  27. Unfortunately you appear to have missed the Forum rules on your way in. Please read them now - particularly the bit about not discussing game automation - and then you will understand why you will get no help and this thread will now be locked. See you soon with a legitimate question I hope. The Moderation team
