au3scr Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 HI. I need to make script for freshly installed windows. Script must: Set start menu to classical Set windows theme to classical Take off effects (Diasplay Properties>Appearance>Effects) Create user: Pinoccio Password:papacarlo Type:(lemited) And modify some stuff in folder options.. My questions are: How should i start? Do i have to use Controlclicks and send functions or Is there an other possibilty to do this, can do this thing with editing windows registery? And what commands i use then? If its possible to use registery to do this , where i can find registery enteries for these values? Main question : how should i start?
James Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Google to see where each of these are stored. Username and password are stored in a SAM file, I think. Themes, I would expect them to be kept in the registry. Blog - Seriously epic web hosting - Twitter - GitHub - Cachet HQ

James Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 NLite didn't work for me. It created the CD with the data on, it just didn't boot. Blog - Seriously epic web hosting - Twitter - GitHub - Cachet HQ
The Kandie Man Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 NLite didn't work for me. It created the CD with the data on, it just didn't boot.Really? That is odd. I created a nlite disc and I tested by installing it on a virtual machine. All my settings worked fine and there were no problems. Did you use the program's built-in burn engine? What version of windows did you use? You try making another compilation because the compilation that was made was possibly corrupt? I modified a XP installation witout a hitch.- The Kandie Man ;-) "So man has sown the wind and reaped the world.
