I believe discussion is taking place whether or not to leave it open source.

I am not sure if you still can download it at this time.

PM "Jon" about it.

I want to use the parsing engine for another project.

I just read the thread about the licensing options(and posted). I am sorry for the reasons that have lead to the discontent with the GPL. This is obviously not how it is supposted to be.

I will not contribute to those reasons.

If there is no way to get the source, then I will look elsewhere, for another product or I will have to write one myself.

Thank you for you time; I did not mean to bring up bad blood.

Wow the posts above and the nature of the interactions disturbs me for various reasons. I'm starting to wonder about AutoIT's future. Like... WinBatch (and now WebBatch) , http://www.winbatch.com/ , already exists... I would like to see AutoIT remain special and in the open source community, but I'm just an "end user" for now, so...

There is a "brother project" related to AutoIT3 and based on AutoIT2 and its called AutoHotKey, http://www.autohotkey.com/download/ . AutoHotKey is still free and open source at this time. Short of the cutting edge features like calling DLLs, having a DLL version of itself like AutoIT, etc... AutoHotKey is not that far behind AutoIT3, plus it appears that AutoHotKey could use some more experienced programmers.

Gee, I wonder why its "not that far behind AutoIt 3".

Edit: blakel, the source for 3.0.102 should be on the download page or findable will little effort. Only the beta code is kept private for now.

I'd also like to get in on the source in 103... but Jon never replied to my PM, so I won't bother him :idiot:

i got the source for the above linked project. i then went into the source directory and

typed cat * | grep opyright

the results did not include Jonathon Bennett & AutoIt Team.

This sure does look similar not to have that in there.

Can anyone confirm that code is improperly used?

It wasn't American-English.  :idiot:

You play GTA:SA don't you? Did you hear the language of the British guys in Las Venturas? Truely a staggering amount of filth for a computer game. :D

Yeah, I have 95% and like 75 hours into San Andreas. Everybody in the game has bad language, though, not just the British guys. However, nobody else seems to have a "problem" like Maccer...
