  1. Ok. I apologize. I didn't think the ITS archive was against the rules. I'll update myself per the new rules.
  2. So it's been a really long time since I've been on this forum and I was wondering if there was still interest in a project I started five years back called AutoIt ITS. I plan to get back into the swing of things and totally revamp it, and I stumbled upon my old archive in my Files folder. There's some interesting stuff but I don't have the time to dig around in it so I'm posting it here and if anyone wants to check it out, feel free. There's some TCP UDP server functionality, a little research into WinSock, a AutoIt Database/Server (SQL emulation), TCP Port Tester, IpScout, Hex Converter, Queue/Priority Status on Functions. Most of the scripts probably need to be GuiUpdated too, because this was back in '06. ITS was an attempt at an AutoIt Instant Messaging server with combined functions of radio, sms, etc.... I'm leaning towards just an IM service because it got too complicated. I hope to make a better impression than my previous explorations with AutoIt because in earlier times I was not the best. Be good to yourselves. That's all for now. ~Max <removed> - Server Stuff <removed> - My other various scripts Basic Server, Memory Statistics, Monitor Blank/Unblank, Process List and Detection, BlackJack, DNA Converter, Neopet Bot, WoW Fisher, etc. Simple Stuff
  3. Buddy - thats only for yourself, on the pc thats hosting. Wow.... Forward ports and setup on another network and try to connect, it will work fine. your public ip isnt what your computer thinks itself is....so it wont work with get ip
  4. The client does connect to the server - I don't understand. And the commands to a client could lead to a security issue. Please explain further or show flow chart. ~Smith
  5. Alright well I'll work on it in between Spotlight. It's gunna be a while though.
  6. Wow. I can't believe people are still reading this post. Does anyone think I should finally finish a full IM server for AutoIt?
  7. So why don't you activate the window, set it to the top, and then search, or do you mean it is a hidden window?
  8. Controls change every time a program loads so a specific control number will not work. There were some functions designed to hook into other windows, I'll see if I can locate them. Post them as soon as I find them. As well you can have the mouse hover over the control and return the number? AutoIt was meant to Automate. Get creative! Edit : Look up ControlGetFocus and ControlCommand for mouse over/keyboard focused control grabbing.
  9. You could possibly look for the window, then set it on top to search pixels. There is a whole set of window functions. For a more method using Internet Explorer, check out the set of functions developed for these tasks. Or better yet, get a pop up blocker? I'm not sure I quite understand the problem but remember the helpfile is your friend.
  10. Sleep(0x000000) will allow your script to not slow down but still have the memory saving effects. Always remember when entering a loop to add a sleep because otherwise it will continue to what you told it, loop. ~Smith
  11. No sites exist. AutoIt was formerly open source and is free. I do not know of any projects that require payment, nor do I think they should exist. I've tried but lack the management and time. Unless you have a project going with a group of people who aren't utter jacks then it may be fruitless. Most people tend to clash. But that is just my opinion. It is very hard for a small group in any web based community to flourish. ~Smith
  12. I am 17. My problems at home are fixed. Live with the opposite parent and I feel like living. I'm not venting. Simply telling it how it is. Using any file based method would : A) Require pre-built structures because it's a com string as opposed to multiple values Uses .2 or more seconds to write / read making it inefficient for an automation structure. C) Ini's specifically would require prearranged variable names - what happens if they delete the ini?!? - phail. D) Same for files except then you'd have to make the structure yourself. E) Be more work then it's worth. Communication : Broadcasting and easy exchange is what I am talking about. Pass data is simply passing one line hoping that the other script read it or didn't corrupt it or the user didn't do something. It's just a faulty method. Now - can we please close this damn topic. I was being completely honest when I said the other methods (besides stdin/out) were stupid. Thank you, ~Smith
  13. I was being honest. It's not that I didn't like the help - I do. His ideas were, as I called them, stupid. They are slow and unconventional. And it was my opinion. Please bug off and quit proliferating this stupid thread.
  14. The project fell apart because of lack of work you idiot. I didn't get rude until he spouted that dumbass post about whatever theory he was talking about - in any case he apologized. Now screw off. End of subject. Quit posting. You shouldn't have even gotten involved. As Valik said - I'm not going to argue with an idiot because onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.
