I'm also trying to do somethign similar but not sure how to to do it. I need to accociate a program called winmail opener with a file type .dat. can you by anychance show me the code you are using to do this in full?

I need to write a script that will tell windows to associate a specific program that get's installed with a specific .dat file extion. I'm very new to auto It. I did some searches but didn't seem to anything that is really what I'm trying to do. Any help would be greatly apprectiated.
