dazza
Is it possible to dynamically trap mouse/key clicks? Use a windows application. Have an AutoIT exe running. As you click on a button/in an edit box/etc in the windows app, the AutoIT exe is writing the control and window name to a text file. Can this be done? >_<

Bert
Asking for anything to do with Keylogging is strongly frowned upon and can result in getting you banned from the forum. Now you know. dazza
I am a system's engineer (in truth a test tool code monkey) My workplace has to write testcases for many apps. Some of these testcases can be hundreds of steps long. To have a tool that can speed up this process is a holy grail. This tool would simply list the control name and the window name as the control is clicked upon. There is nothing cloak and dagger about my request. I, in fact, work with the MOD so security and all that palavah is paramount here. I have to handle stuff that is 'restricted' and on occasion 'secret'. Stuff I can go to prison for, and for a lomg time, should I break any rules. So... people. My credentials are fine, and my quest is noble. I am not in the juvenile hacker catagory, I just need to develop a tool that will save the company time and money, and more importantly, allow me to do my job. I hope this clears this scare-mongering, nonsense up.
