Not sure about the COM, but run the example script for GUICtrlCreateCombo(). it should display something like item1|item2|item3. To create a new item you seperate it with a "|".

I'm not quite sure what you mean... Did you try running the help file script? (See Below). To find out what is currently selected in the combo box use GUICtrlRead()

#include <GUIConstants.au3>

GUICreate("My GUI combo") ; will create a dialog box that when displayed is centered

GUICtrlCreateCombo ("item1", 10,10); create first item
GUICtrlSetData(-1,"item2|item3","item3"); add other item snd set a new default

GUISetState ()

; Run the GUI until the dialog is closed
While 1
    $msg = GUIGetMsg()

    If $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Then ExitLoop

Yes, you can only select one item at a time. Maybe have it so when you click one the combo box it saves it to a list, so each time you click a different item in the combo box it gets added... eg "File 1" & "File 2" & "File 3"
