buzz44
Look in the help file under FileOpenDialog () and GUICtrlCreateCombo() qq
randallc
Thanks so much; the FileOpenDialog() is great! 1. (Is this in the COM version? I'm having trouble woring out which is in which!) 2. The GUICreateControlCombo() gives only a single choice from the drop down list as far as I can see? ExcelCOM... AccessCom.. Word2... FileListToArrayNew...SearchMiner... buzz44
Not sure about the COM, but run the example script for GUICtrlCreateCombo(). it should display something like item1|item2|item3. To create a new item you seperate it with a "|". qq
randallc
Yes, I know I can populate it; but I can only choose 1 item at a time? ExcelCOM... AccessCom.. Word2... buzz44
I'm not quite sure what you mean... Did you try running the help file script? (See Below). To find out what is currently selected in the combo box use GUICtrlRead() #include <GUIConstants.au3> GUICreate("My GUI combo") ; will create a dialog box that when displayed is centered GUICtrlCreateCombo ("item1", 10,10); create first item GUICtrlSetData(-1,"item2|item3","item3"); add other item snd set a new default GUISetState () ; Run the GUI until the dialog is closed While 1 $msg = GUIGetMsg() If $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Then ExitLoop Wend qq
randallc
When I hold down the control button, and select from the list, only one can be selected at a time; in "FilePicker", I can select as many as I like from the dorectory list. buzz44
Yes, you can only select one item at a time. Maybe have it so when you click one the combo box it saves it to a list, so each time you click a different item in the combo box it gets added... eg "File 1" & "File 2" & "File 3" qq
