Text Overlay sent to a DX9/10 Game window

Hi, i'm having this doubt if this can be achieved or not, i have written a plugin for a game Warcraft 3 wich allows key remapping and many other things.

To configure the many option on the fly i set several hotkeys and have a GUI updating realtime, the problem is WC3 can be played either full screen or windowed.

When playing full screen it is a pain tabbing to configure the options so i wanted to send text of what's happening on the GUI directly overlayed on the game window so i wondered if there was some Win Api or integrated AutoIt function to accomplish this, i wasn't able to find anything usefull in the help...
