arcticpup
Hi all, Bit of an obscure one, but is there a way to detect tooltips from a non-AutoIt app in the system tray? I've looked at #Include <GuiToolTip.au3> _GUIToolTip_GetText($hWnd, $hTool, $iID) but can't get it to work, not sure if this only works for AutoIt apps? jvanegmond
This isn't an AutoIt v3 related question, so it doesn't belong in the AutoIt v3 related forum. github.com/jvanegmond

Apologies for any confusion!
jvanegmond
Pardon me, I thought you asked to "detect tooltips from a non-AutoIt app". The detector being the non-AutoIt app, and AutoIt creating the tooltip. : )This SysTray_UDF may help you. I see this in the changelog: "Added function to get tooltip texts + added an example how to use this". github.com/jvanegmond

arcticpup
Eeek! AutoIt doesn't support changing values automatically from a drop down list! Basically, this existing tool (the non-autoIT part of this) generates a password which is sent to customers in the form of an excel spreadsheetI am trying to write the autoit part to automate this process which is rather labourious. Tried using mouse/key strokes to change the hour (See attached screenshot) but if AutoIt can't manage it then I might as well give up unless some guru can help out!
