SQLite Fast Query

Hi guys, I am working in a virtual library and I need do a search function.

In this moment the database has 6700 titles aprox. then when i try to find all the books with the letter 'a' the search and the adding to listbox loop gets 20 seconds and this is so much, is there some way to do this faster. Sorry if not explain well but my english is not so good.

I use SQLite Query and a loop to add the row founded to the listbox, and y use the Listbox Start update y End Update functions.

Someone can helpme please.
