HallMarc Posted October 1, 2009 Share Posted October 1, 2009 Greetings I need to create a script that connects to a series of computers, perform a scripted operation and then exit. I want to be able to run from a central location across the lan/wan. How would I make the connection to the remote workstaion or server? how would I pass the authenication to the remote box to perform the activity as the admin? I've looked around and don't really see what I am looking for. Sorry forgot to mention that! DOH! The script needs to be written in AutoIt, the scripting tool of choice.Some things that I am up against, slow links <>256k and I have a short time window for hundreds of computers. so this will most likely need to be a multi-threaded operation. Last time I used Novell was to convert a 3.12 environment to WIN2003 AD. I've googled the subject. not coming up with much that is open source (free). Novell has their own environment/tools for scripting. Not sure that I want to pay for that! I believe, still verifying, that all of the servers are running in Novell7.
