Addition right click menu options.....

I have searched google and the forums and am obviously searching the wrong way

As an example i would like to add an additional option to the right click pop up menu and create an event associated with what i click on. Could someone please please please point me in the direction of some documentation to do this or a forum post .......Thanking you in advance
