partly download a file

hey guys.

I am making a script, that has to download a file in to parts.

Like, it downloads the first half now and then next time i run it, it downloads the other half part of the file.

eg:

I have a file on http://domain.com/file.ext

the file size is exactly 2000 kb.

First time I run my script, I want it to download the first 1000 kb of the file.

Second time, the remaining 1000 kb of the file.

Is this possible?
