JRowe Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 The developer of a COM object I'm using discovered a fix for using COM objects that start displaying the error "Catastrophic Failure." This article explains the fix. I don't know if there's an AutoIt based solution. However, recompiling the COM object with the new override will allow the object to be used from within AutoIt (and vbs and javascript and so on.) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/146120 This isn't a request, it's just for archival purposes, so that if someone else needs the fix, it's here. Thanks to shooltz from the GeNIe/Smile project.
