Writing to a .bat

Hi i am trying to write to a batch file but i do not know if FileWrite supports .bat files. Does it? If not, how would i do this? Write to a text file then rename it from .txt to .bat?

Of course will that work. What is the difference in your mind between test.txt and test.bat other than just the filename?

It was because you cannot write to a file with the attributes "Hidden" + "System". But you still helped me with your post Melba. Now instead of

FileInstall("Setup.bat", $var[$i] & "\Setup.bat")

$setup = FileOpen ( $var[$i] & "Setup.bat", 2 )

FileWrite ( $setup, "start /MAX " & $var[$i] )

FileSetAttrib($var[$i] & "\Setup.bat", "+HS")

i can do

FileWrite ( $var[$i] & \Setup.bat, "start /MAX" & $var[$i] )

FileSetAttrib($var[$i] & "\Setup.bat", "+HS")

But my original method is more suitable so ill use that still even though it's great that i have learned there was another way to do it.
