qr code implementation help

i would like to script a qr code reader / generator. qr code is kind of a two dimensional barcode. does anyone have detailed information about how the encoding works ? any link appreciated.

Here is a good source to know how to read QR Code in C#. You can also find C# QR Code barcode generaor SDK there.
