Detect if a specific computer (known by its IP address) is pinging me

If I know the IP address of a remote machine, can I detect if this machine is pinging me?

The ICMP echo request packet contains the source IP address. But that is trivial to spoof, so it doesn't prove much if you have reason to suspect any hacking at all.

Thanks, it is not about hacking at all, I am expecting the remote computer to ping me, and I just want to detect when it happens.

How do I use this ICMP echo request?

Maybe I am starting in a wrong way.

I would like my script to wait for a "signal" for a remote computer before proceeding further. So basically, I would like to get a message from the remote computer that would tell me "go ahead, run the rest of the script".

Easier to just use the example scripts for TCPSend() and TCPRecv().
