Dracil Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I have made an application that requieres a serial number to activate, now when someone entered the serial i need to change a value for exampel $verified = 1 (from $verified = 0) so that people can use my application. But when they restart the program i dotn want them have to reenter the serial, i want the $verified to remain = 1, is this possible?
Moderators Melba23 Posted January 16, 2010 Moderators Posted January 16, 2010 Dracil,Save it in an ini file or the registry. Look at the Ini* and Reg* function in the Help file. Juvigy Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 This is not a good practice. It is better to save the serial number in the registry and read it every time then save the $verified = 1.
andrewseul Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 If you want more security on your application you can host an website an put and txt file (or ini files) on your host then there you can change the way you want to switch the variable $verified = 0 to $verified = 1 for every license key you did for your customers.
Juvigy Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Forget about this "$verified = 0 to $verified = 1" . Store the whole license key.You can even encrypt it.
