Hi,

I want to know how can i control an external electrical device using a software code... what is the output the software should be sending and in what manner should it be sent...

Let's say i want to receive an http1.1 page, i have to open a socket and send an http1.1 protocol request... what do i do for this thing ?! open certain ports/sockets ?! how do i communicate with an external device ?!!?

Thanks in advance to anyone who cares to throw in a hint!

Have a nice day,

SK.

Depends what you are doing... I've been doing some work with PIC's recently and USART/UART. Thats done RS232 and com ports (A very nice Com port udf from martin should do it :D ), I am trying to get stuff to do the same over bluetooth now, as that could be very useful.

Hey mate,

Any chance for a sample code or something .... i just want to see how do you open the COM and how to use it to send commands....

I'll read all about that: PIC, USART/UART & the RS232 later on...

Thanks again !!!
