Issue with Sygate Firewall Pro

I'm running a script to launch my internet apps(see thread in scripts and scraps) and every other time i launch Sygate Personal Firewall Pro using

"run("C:\Program Files\Sygate\SPF\Smc.exe")"

the tray icon does not appear. I've checked that the process is running(using Faber Toys), and I can get the tray icon to show up if I click on the SPFP shortcut. But that kinda defeats the purpose of my script. If I use

"run('"C:\Program Files\Sygate\SPF\Smc.exe" -start')"

the script launches SPFP's GUI + the tray icon, and I'm trying to get it to just load to the tray w/o the GUI. Is this just an issue with sygate? (on a side note: does anyone know if there are any more command line switches for SPFP other than the '-start'?)
