I have a graphic software that batch renders single images, but often

hangs itself, going into an idle loop.

At the moment I kill the process every hour and restart it, but the

setup-time for rendering is quite long...

So is there a way to check the a process every minute if it's running or

in idle mode and killing it in the later case?

Thanks!

rs3d,

This includes code which allows you to monitor CPU usage by process. In my experience graphic software just gobbles CPU, so if your process is not using much for a longish period.......
