ElBarteros,

What is it in the script that you want to update? The code itself or the data it uses?

You never have to update your code from within the script, tell us what you are trying to do and I can help you plan your script layout in a way that does not require that.

i have a simple ftp download script. thats loads every night some logs files to a backup server.

But now i have the problem that the backup script must be updated :-)

The Script is on 20 Server so it is some more to update :-(

So i would be great that i can download with the backup script a new file and replace the script itself.

Why not just make an update script, residing on your repository for the new script, which will push the new updated script and overwrite the old ones?
