Catch errors

I am calling autoit from another program so that autoit can do some automation for me. I want to know, if something goes wrong and there is an error during the time that autoit is running how can i send the error message to the program that called it in the beginning.

Passing an actual message (i.e. text) can be done without fancy IPC by setting an environment variable. Alternatively you might just return an integral suitable exit code using Exit($code) and catch it in the calling program.
