Nonyamuff
OK, I'm still pretty much new to AutoIt. I have developed a utility for my department to use. What I'm wondering is if there is a way to have the .exe's properties show a version number other than the version of AutoIt I'm using? Right now if I go into the properties and "Version" tab I see "File Version" in the "Other version information" box with a value of 3,3,6,1...which is the version of AutoIt I'm running. I would like it to say the current version of my utility 2.0.5...maybe I have overlooked it but is there a way to do that? I will continue research on this end. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Moderators Melba23 Posted May 23, 2010 Moderators Share Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) Nonyamuff,If you download the full version of SciTE4AutoIt3, which you can find here, you also get a load of additional goodies. One of these is Jos' AutoIt3Wrapper which lets you add directives to your script like this:#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Description= ;Description field #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Fileversion= ;File Version #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_ProductVersion= ;Product Version. Default is the AutoIt3 version used. #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Language= ;Resource Language code . default 2057=English (United Kingdom) #AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_LegalCopyright= I would strongly recommend that you download and install this full version of SciTE to replace the cut-down version that is bundled with the AutoIt install - I have yet to meet anyone who has regretted it.
