Tray Menu Colour

How can I change the colour of tray menu Items?

Ive tried using this code but it doesnt work

GUICtrlSetBkColor($TrayItem1, 0x00ff00)

Im trying to make the tray's menu green

I understand that I probably need a udf, could someone point me to the right one

but why doesnt my code snippet work?

I would have thought it would because its part of the gui but there wasnt anything in the help file so i asked on here.
