asmeyers
Maybe I'm overlooking something that's very obvious... but for some reason on my Window 7 machines the Send() function is not sending the special characters. I've Googled the problem and done a search on this forum but can't find any help. I've got 3 computers I've tested on, on the Windows XP computer the Send function works fine. One the two Windows 7 computers it doesn't send special characters. As a simple example I used the Notepad tutorial script. Run("notepad.exe") WinWaitActive("Untitled - Notepad") Send("This is some text.") WinClose("Untitled - Notepad") WinWaitActive("Notepad", "Do you want to save") Send("!n") On my two Windows 7 machines it opens Notepad, it writes the "This is some test." and it tries to close but it never sends the "!n" - the "Do you want to save changes" window just sits there. On my Windows XP machine this script runs fine. Does anyone else have this issue? Why wouldn't the special characters be sent using Windows 7? GEOSoft
Try adding this at the top of your script. Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 2) EDIT: I would also add Opt("WinTextMatchMode", 2) EDIT 2: Or leave the text parameter empty on the second WinWaitActive() call Edited November 23, 2010 by GEOSoft George Question about decompiling code? GEOSoft
That will still require the Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 2) to work on all systems. George Question about decompiling code?
