trouble with cmd.exe and autoit

I've been at this for hours. I get a message that the directory does not exist. I know it exists for a fact... How do I get autoit play well with command.com?

run("DEL /S /F C:\Program Files\Helix Auto\*.*")

xJSLRx,

AutoIt cannot read your mind - you need to tell it that you want it to run a DOS console command. :x

Try like this:

Run(@ComSpec & ' /c DEL /S /F "C:\Program Files\Helix Auto\*.*"', "", @SW_HIDE)

It does tell you exactly how to do this in the Help file, by the way. :P

xJSLRx,

No you are not. Just take a bit more time to read the Help file for the command you are using - you will be surprised at how often the answer is in there. :x

Over time that's what I've been noticing, you just need to really look through the help file since some thing's arn't that easy to find.

It is relatively easy to find things in the helpfile when you know you are looking for.

So it is true that in the beginning you need to invest time in reseach, as it always does, but it will will become easier as you go along.
