thunderSnow
Hey all, I'm having a bit of trouble trying to read specific bytes in a file. I'm just not understanding something apparently. Could someone be so gracious enough as to show me a snippet of code that (for example) would read bytes 512-519 (8 bytes in length) of a file located at say, d:\readTest.file ? Thanks in advance, I appreciate any help.
PsaltyDS
FileOpen(), FileSetPos(), FileRead(). See help file under FileSetPos() for example. Valuater's AutoIt 1-2-3, Class... thunderSnow
It was my understanding that FileRead() is used for text files only, which doesn't help me. I had been playing around with the _WinAPI functions, but when I attempt _WinAPI_ReadFile(), the action fails.
